I went almost a year without a major purchase for the vette, for some reason this cold winter and the 2ft of snow outside has driven me to start purchasing again, so far I have ordered.
Set of c6z06 deep dish wheels,
Goodyear F1's to go with them,
Drilled/slotted zinc coated rotors,
Ceramic Brake pads,
Switchback Leds,
Hyperflash harness,
and a few replacement peices from corvetterecycling
Someone take my paypal account away from me before I end up pulling the trigger on a cam package or something lol.
Only bad thing is all this stuff is still in the mail. Oh well not like I can drive around right now as it is.
So watch out, I think this mod bug is more contagious than h1n1.
I am about to pull the trigger on tires. You obviously feel the Goodyear F1 is a good tire. Is it comparable to the Bridgestone Potenza, Nitto Invo etc. ?
This is actually my first time trying the F1's, people on here seem to give them alright reviews, for the price I really couldn't resist. I should have clarified, I only got new rears GSD3's "non-runflat", I have kumho ectsas up front.
Also ordered up some chrome bezels for the gauges, anyone do these? little late I know already ordered but I heard that they throw some of the uv light back at you when installed.
I have added bezels on two cars, not a bad project it just takes time. You might want to run a search on the forum as to how to remove dash. I looked up how to install HUD and it will give you a step by step as to removing the dash. Good luck! It will look awesome.
I've been spending money all year on my 99 since I got in March. I've got the exterior done to my liking with new wheels, still have to refinish my targa roof but that can wait.
I've re-done my interior and thought I was done but that ugly 1.5 din truck Bose radio is bugging me so it looks like that's going for a double din upgrade. Then, I'll have to do
some things to the engine and then I'll be done (and ready for a C6 and start all over).
The only bad thing about doing the mods in winter is that it seems so long till spring when you can start showing off your car, at least here in Jersey.
Gahh... Rims made it to Omaha today, I wish ups delivered on Saturday, they might actually make it out to the west side of the state by then.
UPS does deliver Saturday. It's just a $15 upcharge per box.
As for the mod bug,my car is getting ready to go to Autobuffs for what started as a repair and ended up being repair, upgraded hooded and Tigershark front end with chin spoiler. And since ECS is only 15 minutes away from them,I'll hopefully be going over there for a street tune as well.
