It's not like this topic hasn't been worn out but I have a question regarding the forum supplier ads. I'm wanting to order a Hurst shifter, Hardbar **** and CAGS eliminator. The ads show the Hurst for 97-2000 C5's, and the CAGS eliminator through 2001. Is there any difference between these and what's required for an 02 Z06?
Just got off the phone with him and put it all on order. Thanks.
BTW - I got the idea there was a supply problem with the Hurst but didn't know they have no idea when they'll hit the street. Anyone out there have any real intel???
I ordered the Hurst. Just got the feeling from the dozens of threads I've read on this topic that I wanted the Hurst. Both companys make great products so probably can't go wrong either way. The stock shifter is a POS!!! Reminds me of buying a $20K HD and getting $.50 pegs on it. And IMHO, whatever engineer thought we'd want a 1st to 4th shift was smoking crack. Does anyone really like this option or keep it? Pisses me off every time it happens. Didn't have to deal with this on my 98 A4 but it wasn't even as fun to drive as the Z :) :) :)
