I have a torch red '97 and I am having a problem with the driver seat. I have gone through 2 seat handles and I realized the problem isn't the handle its the part that comes out from the seat that the handle attaches to. It is stripped and the teeth are too worn down to work with the handle correctly. My question is can I replace just the part on the seat or do I just need to get a whole new seat? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
no it's the same, but the part that is no good is the shaft coming out of the seat. The teeth are stripped. I was just wondering if I can replace just the shaft or do I need a whole new seat?
I shouldn't have been so vague, except I stepped through details to get to a chevy online catalog to view what
parts and the pricing is available for the assembly. Probably what is called the seat back frame assy.
