Default Another WOW for Chuck COW

I took advantage of the Christmas special to get my 00 6 speed vert PCM mail order tuned by Chuck at COW. I have had it back for about 3 weeks but just got around to putting everything back together today.

All I can say is WOW. The throttle response is so much better than it was in stock trim and it has some real get up and go. I was very impressed with my vette's power in stock trim, even more impressed with the addition of the LG Street Series with HF Cats and X-pipe, added the Z06 Ti's plus Blackwing CAI and was even more impressed.

Now after the Chuck COW tune I am even more blown away, this is the way the car should have come from the factory. I can only wonder what it will be like after heads and cam.

Today it was 68 and sunny here in SC so I took the car out for a spin, thank goodness I left the traction control engaged.

I did notice that even sitting at a stop light for a while the temp never got over 196 where as prior to the tune it would have been in the area of about 220. At cruse on highway it stays in the 180 area. I did notice that I can hear the fans on high more often so I will have to get used to that or just turn up the radio.

Overall I am very pleased and see it as money well spent on the vette. Chuck you did an outstanding job and if ever you are in the SC area I will bring my car to you.

Chuck quick question - What did you set the fan temps at? Also, did you turn off the 1st to 4th shift? Do I need to keep the 02 sims in as I had them in to keep the CEL from comming on all the time? I want to pull them off and sell them. Thanks again Chuck.

Just bought my 01 Vert and have a CAI coming in the mail. Do I need to run the car with this mod installed before pulling the computer?

Took the car out again today. Cat had to go to the vet and the weather here in SC was 68 and sunny so I took the cat to the vet in the vette.

50 miles round trip and I averaged 29.2 MPG, thats better than my wifes 05 Jeep Liberty. It looks like another benifit of the tune is better MPG during normal driving.

Thanks again Chuck.

P.S. Love the picture listed above, is that Chuck? He looks like a construction worker
