Default Windshield molding: help?

Ladies and gents,

My windshield molding needs to be replaced on the driver’s side (looks like someone tried to put a screwdriver in it to wedge the windshield open). I’m looking on sites like GM Warehouse and I see it come in one piece (top, driver’s, and passenger’s). However, when I called a few local stealerships and they told me the part comes in 3 separate pieces, and I could order my driver’s side separate. Can anyone help me out? Which is which? Can it be done separately or the stealerships around here are clueless? At first it didn’t look that bad. However, I just finished my black halo w/tinted top mod and it really stands out.

Are you talking about the actual windshield molding or the weatherstripping above the windows ?

Assuming you don't have a FRC/Z06
The window weatherstripping is in three pieces, one goes behind the targa and down each rear of the windows (attached to car), one goes along the edge of the targa (attached to targa) and the otehr goes up one front side of the window, along the top of the windshield, and down the other front side window.

The actual seal that holds the windshield in place should be one piece.

Yes, I have a coupe. I guess I need to see some type of diagram. I'll take a few picture and hopefully that should help. At this point, I do not know thw difference between the two.

As stated above, the weatherstripping along the windshield of the coupe is all one piece. Mine was replaced when the windshield was replaced.
