Default Driver Window Binding-Help

I dont know if this has been brought up before or not but...

The other day when going though a drive-though my driver side window would not roll all the way down. It sounds funny now, it works most of the time just makes some popping sounds. It sounds like it is binding when rolling up and down. I did car audio for years with Circuit City RIP... So I feel I can fix this. The window motor still works fine it just stops when it is binding. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there are any things to be looking at when I pull the door apart. Thanks Everyone!

I had the same problem with my driver side. The steel cable for the window regulator had frayed so that it wasn't able to freely move over one of the pulleys. A new one is pretty expensive so I picked up a low mile used one from the auction site for a little over $100. You can check the For Sale section on here for one too. The install is pretty simple, just remove the door panel, glass, then the regulator and swap in the new one. There is a How To on the forum somewhere. I'll post a link to it when I get home tonight for you. It is saved on my home computer. Good luck

I had the same problem with both of my windows and this was the fix. I did get new ones if I remember correct they were somewhere around $250 to $300 each, yea not cheap.

If the motor still works, there is a company called RegulatorsUSA that will rebuild them for $100 with new cables, pulleys, etc.
