Default Kudos Borla!

I don’t make too many posts but when a company goes above and beyond expectations people need to hear about it.

I have a ’04 Z06, purchased new, and not six months into owning the car I put a set of Borla twin tip “Stingers” on it. I did the install myself and took great care in getting the tips to align.

Well, the other day I noticed that one of the exhaust tips was hanging way lower than the other. Upon investigation I found that the Borla’s weld had sheared at the flange where they connect to the stock H-pipe.

If you go to Borla’s website you’ll find that they have an extraordinary warranty – A millions miles, basically the life of the product. However, the caveat is that you have to send in the defective part.

I’m like; great, what, I have to drive around without a muffler – no way. I guess I’ll see if I can get someone to re-weld it locally.

Beyond that, I figured I would at least send Borla an email and see what they had to say.

I was extremely surprised when my email was responded to in less than a day! After a couple of emails and a few pictures later I was told that a new replacement part would be sent out right away.

Now folks, that is what I call customer service!

I love Borla. Not only for the way their products look and sound but, for the way they take care of their customers.

Kudos Borla!

Thanks for sharing!

It's good to know who has their customer service down these days. Almost seems like none of the big companies care anymore.

I had loudmouths on the car when I bought mine and swapped them for stingers. Wow what a difference.

That is excellent customer service. Good to see that a company really does stand behind its warranty.

Great to hear that a company still stands behind the product they make and did what needed to be done to make you happy. Very rare today.

Borla is the best. I live near by their office in Oxnard. A few years ago, I had a set of Stingers installed at A&A. A few days after, I noticed that one of tips were dented. I had taken pics of the exhaust the day they were installed and the dent was pretty noticeable in the pics. Andy tried to get me a new set but they were back ordered for a while. So we called Borla and they had me go in and they had a new tip welded on for me. Borlas will definitely be going on all my future Corvettes!

Knowing what I now know, I think I'm leaning toward a Borla exhaust.

After all, I plan on keeping my C5 for at least a million miles!

I might have to take a look at mine. My right tip sits lower than my left one.
