I was watching the new episode of burn notice this morning and there was a really nice silver C5 it has wagan wheels on it and was in a street race scene.
Anyone know if the vette was a TV vette or is it someone that is on the forum.

Too bad they had to crash the car. Could have used something more mundane for the crash scene.

Did you notice the subtle changes that occurred to the car with various scenes?
In one scene it has oem painted wagon wheels, but later there was a brief scene where the wheels were chrome plated.
The thing that stood out to me was the body side moldings. The drivers side was deleted, but the passenger side was intact.
Possibly more than one car was probably used for the filming...

Plus it looked like to me that the first couple of "side" hits there was no damage, till the end! I must admit it was difficult not to shed a tear!

It had been modded a little bit too with the chrome exhaust cover plate in one of the shots.

I think they may have used more than one C5. In one scene it looked like it had the later thin spoke wheels and the vette that was wrecked had wagon wheels. It looks like they sacrificed the older car.

OMG.....
You would die if you saw the beginning of the first XXX (Triple X) movie. I actually laughed when the Vette got totaled thinking of the people that cry when a C5 dies. Dude it is just a car, get over it!

I saw what I thought to be both chrome and wagon wheels in different scenes but missed the BSM thing you mention.
It's funny how after some time on the Corvette Forum we know about and look for all these little details.
Thanks for the HU I'll look closely when I do a replay.

GF and I were watching that just a while ago and for me it was the second time. That's when I noticed all those things just mentioned. Keen eyes to catch it the first time. I did notice the exhaust plate the first time, how ever.

Noticed the BSM difference right away and the wagon wheels a bit later. Didn't see the xf plate. Good eye! Two different cars, I'm sure. One was probably already a wrecked vette so they sacrificed it at the end.
