Broken front leaf spring

02 Z w/ 34k miles, lowered on stock bolts only, rest BONE STOCK. noticed the front end a little noisy, making a creaking noise when i lowered the car from the jack. took a look and this is what i found. i really expected the valve springs to break before a darn leaf spring

. i guess now ill be looking for a new front leaf. what you guys think? i have seen some C6's having this problem as well.

Wow! This makes me wana check mine! So hey what type of symptoms did you see? turning, braking etc? Just curious as I'm lowered too, not that it matters right

i noticed no symptoms othar than the front end noisy when i would lower the car from the jack stands. thats all i noticed

i have some small cracks in my front right spring. I have been worried about it but its had about 10,000 miles put on it since the shop pointed it out to me. Im just gonna wait to get some coilovers.

coil overs hua... whats a good set and how much should they cost?

I have been real happy with my Pfadt coilovers, you are looking at $1600 - $1700 last time I checked on pricing.

What are the benefits of a coilover setup? Will it help at all with traction?

It should help with traction depending on your setup. I have no more mid corner rear end hop that most people experience with the stock suspension.
Your best bet would be to call Aaron Pfadt and talk to him about what you want from your car and suspension setup.
