A previous owner of my car thought it would be a really good idea to paint the throttle body with what looks like red caliper paint. The bad thing is they used a cheap a$$ brush or a dogs tail. Kind of looks like when it was wet, they rubbed it against a dog or something ,hairs all over it. If it is caliper paint, any ideas as to how I can get it off?
Here are some pics of the "Hairy Throttle Body"

Epoxy paint stripper - use a brush to apply it and stuff a rag or tape off all areas you do not want it to go
Use a small wire brush to scrub and then a good tooth brush - Rinse off with water and then in the end you could clean it up with some Carb cleaner or parts/brake cleaner!

Thanks,Matt
One of my first thoughts was carb cleaner!!! That should clean all the nooks and crannies! If the guy was that cheap and careless,,I seriously doubt he popped for caliper paint,, I'm guessing it should come off fairly easy.
Stripped the throttle body tonight with Aircraft paint remover. Worked like a dream. The said part is that the casting is pretty messed up right on top so I will probably just prime and paint it silver or black.
Thanks for all your help. Many of you have been a huge help to me while I'm doing things on this car I would usually pay someone else to do.

Can you post a picture of what you are talking about on the casting? It may be possible to grind down any imperfections with a dremel and sanding drum and then sand with sand paper and continue to go finer and finer to acheive the look and finish you are after without having to paint it again.
