I like the wheel...is that viny skin? One thing though, an upscale wheel sure makes that horn pad look like the crap that it is! wish someone would come up with an improvement for it...
I would not get just the airbag done. it would stand out just like the bare AB, and not REALLY match the old SW leather. Having both done, the look is uniform.
I also have the back of my wheel done, the steering column shroud, plus everything else except the dash pad.
I highly recommend Caravaggio!

Frank knows better than anyone would so take any advice he has regarding carravaggio and run with it.

I know that this is not specifically what you are doing but grant me a little latitude......
I had done a leather wrap on my steering wheel in the C5. As you know, in my case it was a DIY install by adding piece of leather over the top of the current wheel cover and stitch it up.
I loved the look but it took me a few weeks to get used to the new "feel". Adding just that thin piece of leather increased both the diameter that you wrap your hands around and the diameter of the wheel for turning. Once I got used to it, it was fine but I suspect that you will go through the same thing once you add any padding under the new wheel cover that you have installed. Just sharing some thoughts for you. Either way, it will look fantastic.

Paul - know what you mean. But, it's actually the other way around at our household. My dd and the wife's frequent driver is my Hummer H3 which has a much fatter steering wheel than the vette. When I drive her or my C5, it feels like I'm holding a thin, hard, older wheel (which I am ). If I drive hers to work when she needs the Hummer, it ususaly takes me a while to get use to the thinner wheel and it never feels as good. The Hummer's thicker steering wheel feels much better in my hands and the wife likes it as well so I think the added padding to the C5 wheel would put it more on par with what we both like.
