I need some too - take a look at the new generation Michelin ZP's. They are not the cheapest option but if good enough to be OE on the ZR1, then might be the best value.
Spoke to tire shop today. they are recommending getting away from run flats and buying a can of fix a flat. "normal tires" are much less expensive. use the fix a flat for spare/air and go straight to tire shop. have them rinse the wheel off when the tire is fixed. he is recommending nitto 555 extreme.

From what I read here on the forum,,fix a flat and other tire goo's will kill the pressure sensors. There are LOTS of runflats that ride, handle as good or better, are quieter and cost less than Goodyears. My fronts were bad,,replaced them with Micheline Sport ZP(runflats) and the difference in sound from front to the GY's in the rear was amazing.I will be doing the rears very soon as they are now ready for replacement!! Every thing I've read,, Micheline's have better traction too!!

I ran a set of Firestone Firehawk runflats on my '00 - I was very pleased with their performance. Haven't checked prices in a while, but I believe they are cheaper in price than the Goodyears.
I have been reading reviews of Kumho Ecsta MX much more price friendly...
That is because they are not runflat tires....
I went the non-runflat route, with Goodyear GSD3's. Great tire! Put together a kit with a compressor, some plugs, pliers, gloves, towels, etc. Fortunately, I've only had to use it in my driveway. But it did the trick.
isnt there a GM fix a flat goo that came with the Z06's?
The Z06 did not have TPS, so there was no concern about damaging a sensor.
For folks who choose to drive on non-runflats, the difference in tire cost, coupled with improved ride and handling, may well offset the risk (and expense) of having to replace a sensor.
Roscoe118,
Unless Kumho has stopped making the former, the Ecsta MX is available as both a runflat and non-runflat tire. The runflat is called an MX XRP, at least on TireRack's website.
I sent you a PM. I have a set of Khumos for sale. I really liked them, but went to bigger brakes and needed to go 18 all around and they didn't have them in my size.
I run the sumitomo hrtz2 and have a new set in the garage waiting for the right rims to put them on. I got nearly 25k miles of fantastic use out of my first set and they still have at least 2-3k mile maybe more left in them. They are slippery when it is below freezing. Cannot beat them, imo.
I will never run runflats again. the compromise of performance for fear of a flat is crazy. I got a flat on run flats and destroyed the tire and the rim going way less than 20 miles at slow speeds. Once you lose the run flats, you will never go back
