I received my rear spoiler today from RPI Design and it fits perfectly and the color match is also spot on. Here are a few pictures of the prep and then the final projected completed.
I first set the spoiler in place and while my son held it there I put a few pieces of blue painters tape to mark the location.
We then removed the spoiler, and I first cleaned that area within the tape with a solution of 50% alcohol and 50% water. I did this about 5 times to make sure I had all of the wax off.
Next was to apply supplied bonding agent to the area that would have the double sided 3M tape. Once I had that dome, we placed the tape on the spoiler making sure that we kept in inside about 1/16 of an inch. As called for in the instructions, I cut the red protection material on the tape that would be in contact with the car at the lower center (at the fifth light) and peeled it back in both direction about 2 inches. We then placed the spoiler on the car making sure it was within the blue tape marks. I then peeled that red protective tape back one side at a time on the bottom. We then did the same on the top edge of the spoiler. Total time was just a little over an hour.
Here is the finished product.
I would also like to thank the young lady at RPI Designs for getting the instructions to me. They were not in the shipment, but one call and they were sent to me by e-mail. No more then 10 minutes after I call RPI I had the complete instructions.
It was $380 and change, including the shipping. That was also with a 10% discount. If you order it enter TEN at check out for the 10% discount.
They (RPI) great great to work with also. I have ordered other items and I have always been happy.

Nice, thanks for the writeup...looks better, to me, than the one with the points running down the side of the car. My only drawback is I am a golfer and I have to heft my golfbag over the hatch lip carefully...do you think this spoiler adds more risk of damage when loading bulky objects?
Thanks for the write up. Installation looks like it came out great, real tight against the body, especially at the downward corners. Paint does look right on as you stated.
I have one that I purchased as well for RPI. Same discount deal, painted. However my color, Pewter, was not dead on as you state, slightly off with more gold in the Pewter metallic. I did have mine repainted locally and much more please with the color match now. It would have bothered me if I didn't repaint.
Just need some really warm weather up here in New England to complete the install, probably in about 1 1/2 months from now and in the sun.
Thanks again for your detailed write up. It will be helpful when I install mine.

Make sure you have another person to help. I know I could not have done it by myself, or at least done it properly. Make sure you place with out the double sided tape and get it fitted first. Mark it with something like the painters blue tape also. Good luch, and I am gald I live in Florida so I could install it ight away.
