Thus far I taken great pains to avoid stupid questions . . . well now it's time.
Stupid question #1. What do each of the little 'dot' marks represent by the radio volume control. Are they related to the scv (speed compensating volume) feature of the radio?
Stupid question #2. What does each little 'oil pressure box' on the hud represent? Ten pounds of oil pressure or what?
Stupid question #3. When you raise the hood, shouldn't the under hood light come on, or is there a switch? Mine doesn't work, not even after replacing the bulb.
Don't laugh . . . sometime ya just gotta ask the stupid questions. :flag
The hood light also has a connector on the lower right (passenger side) of the engine compartment toward the front Try to follow the wire from under the hood liner to the connector. Make sure it is plugged in properly.

If the car was in the showroom at the dealers your hood lamp may have been unplugged or its fuse pulled by the dealer so that it wouldn't drain the battery. They always seem to have vettes in the show room with the hood up.
I have also seen dealers disconnect the battery and then reconnect it on a daily basis. All those sparks and voltage surges must be hard on the electronics and force the computer to relearn idle all the time.

The underhood light turns itself off after 15 minutes.
