Getting some change back from Uncle Sam and wanting to do some apperance mods to the MY coupe. Not really concerned about performance mods cause I really don't hot rod the car so I am happy with the HP that I have. Looking at some stuff under the hood, maybe a spoiler on the rear can't really lower the car because of my driveway.
Any ideas that you can think of?
ypu need to decide on a theme or look as the first step
Chrome?
Black Chrome?
Color co-ordination?
Carbon Fiber?
LED's?
Underhood?
screens?
louvres for taillights, side markers?
gill spears?
aftermarket wheels?
It all depends on how much money you will be getting back. Easy first step mods that I see most commonly done to start out is painting the calipers, in your case yellow, the front fog light and brake duct screens as well as the side cove screens. Flush tail lights are popular also. If you plan to or are already showing at local car shows, engine dress up is always nice. New wheels are also a common upgrade for C5's. Next is body mods. Rear spoilers (not a wing), as mentioned in an earlier post the Caravaggio is a popular add on, I just installed an SLP that comes already painted to match you body color. Here are a few pic.
The ACI front splitter is also a nice apperance mod.
Good luck and have fun. One thing to remember, once you start the mods, it can be hard to stop.
Wheels and brake upgrades are also nice appearance mods too
Hood ornaments are nice too.
Very attractive hood ornament.....
I already have the flush mounted tail lights but the Halo's are an option.
I just out powder coated calipers on and the car had 08 Z06 repo wheels on it when I got it but I would really like to have a set of CCW's just don't won't to drop that kind of change on wheels. The spoilers look really nice and I like the idea of it coming already painted ready to install.
All these cars that have been posted look great, ya'll have given me a lot of options and I really appreciate it.
Before going down a particular path. Think about everything as a package. The best cars on here looks like the owners have put serious thought about which components look good together and compliment each other. Remember sometimes less is more.
Seems like you don't want to dump a ton in her so...
You could hook up with Mike @vettestripes and get some vinyl stickers ...
Or you could black out the rear or lower fasica with a rattle can... Rattle can the lower fascia that is... I did mine and couldn't believe how nice it came out, how easy it was and how well it's held up!
Here's my rear fascia...
And this is what I think used to be a forum members car... Can't remember...
