Default HID 6000k Lows Installed

Being the big fan of HID's that I am, I couldn't stand to not have them on the Vette. I ordered these through Jhonathan @ JW Motoring, good guy to deal with and a very smooth transaction

These were easy to install, EXCEPT for getting the driver side bulb in place. It wasn't an issue with the HID bulb itself, but me being able to get it in place correctly & rotate it to lock it in place. Needless to say, plenty of profanities were flying around the garage

I don't have the best photo skills for night shots, so if anyone wants to see additional pics please let me know & I'll be happy to try and take some more

The light beam is a little strange, but I'm assuming that's because of the stock headlight internals and their not being designed for HID's, hence the non-distinct cutoff typically associated with OEM HID's...

Again, poor night shot here, but hopefully it gives you an idea...

Very nice, In this picture it looks like the passenger bulb isn't seated correctly, It isn't showing on the garage as the driver side is.
You should see both on the door, I had this issue and it took me a few to get the bulb in right.

Looks great. Nothing like a dark road awash in white light.

You're car looks great and the HIDs certainly light up the road, however expect to be flashed. Your HID lows now look like OEM highs in the stock housing. Those are bright!

I had the same problem when I installed my HID's- except the "funny' pattern was on the drivers side-and I agree with you,the drivers side was a real pita to get in right-
Then I had to pull it out again and use the "O" ring from the original bulb because of excessive "jiggle" in the light when I'd hit a bump.
The "O" ring tightened it up(even harder to get back in),and solved the problem.
Best mod money I've spent so far...

Bill, thanks for the tip. I checked the passenger bulb and sure enough it wasn't seated correctly. Now both beams have the same cut-off

Thanks, yeah I'm definitely expecting some flashing to go on...but it's worth it

Hmm, I haven't really been on a bumpy road to test for the jiggle you speak of. I'll keep an eye out for that.

Shouldn't have any trouble seeing the road now. Nice mod and a fine looking car.
