You'll be good with a 265/35 or 275/35. For an ideal fit, I'd recommend going 275.

275s up front will fit ,no rubbing or problems, sounds good to me,any body know the difference in height compared to stock, they must be a little lower.and why is 275 the ideal fit, just trying to understand.

I ran 265/35x18 on 18x9.5 wheels and 295/35x18 on 18x10.5 wheels. Those sizes are perfect for a C5. It maintains the perfect stagger from front to rear.. and looks great..

My old C5 below with those sizes.

I am considering 18's and will go with these sizes if I do.

The 275s will be slightly taller than the 265. The aspect ratio (the '35') is a measurement of the sidewall height compared to the section width ('275' or '265'). The section width figure is the measurement of the width of the tire in millimeters and the aspect ratio is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width (in this case 35% of 275mm, or about 3.79").

The reason why a 275 is an ideal fit on a 9.5" wheel is because it results in a square fitment, just as the 295 does on a 10.5" wheel. In other words, the 265/35 fits a 9.5" great, but slightly concave (which isn't a problem, by any means). In lieu, however, you can obtain a little additional contact patch with a 275/35 while achieving a square fitment identical to that of the rear, if you plan on going with a 295/35 out back.

Hope this helps

Best way to compare tires, click here and have at it..

Remember when doing this you are wanting somewhere from .75" to 1" max stagger front to rear.

Compare OEM Z06 sizes to see what you get THEN compare your sizes.
OEM Z06 265/40x17 on a 9.5" wheel -- 295/35x18 on a 10.5" wheel

Try also since fronts are your main concern, compare the OEM size 265/40x17 to the 265/35x18
Same size, just more sidewall and less wheel with the 17 and less sidewall and more wheel with the 18
Your wheels speed sensors will be happy thus your active handling will never know there was a change..

Just as a note - Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to retain the staggared diameter difference that came from the factory. The front tire can be .1" smaller than the rear with no problems.
