Default Vert wind deflector

Any advice for a convertible wind deflector that hooks up to the back of the seats? Something to cut down on wind and wind noise? THX.

Here is what I did.
Not the greatest, but at less than $50 for everything it's tough to beat.
You can leave in place and still raise the top.

I bought the vette net from Chip (vendor here). I spent a few extra $$ and purchased the one with the color matching frame (torch red). It looks very nice and does reduce the wind buffeting to a degree, it certainly does not eliminate it. They are a bit pricey but I'd probably do it again. They are very easy to install and remove. I'd just caution, don't expect miracles. Good luck, any questions feel free to IM me. Ron

Default Vette Net

Have the vette net and also separated seating/trunk areas. They did a good job of cutting down on both wind and noise levels. Both are expensive and by far if I was only going to have one it would be the vette net.

it helps but not a great amount. If you are tall...6' or more try what I did which helps. Insert two wine corks into the tubing and it will raise the "vette net" and help a bit more.

The vette net has to be removed in order to raise the top.

Something that helps a little and does not look bad is raising both windows 1"-2".

What am I missing here? If you have a Vert and put the top down isn't the idea to enjoy top down driving, wind and all. If you don't want to mess up your hair, leave the top up.

Here's what you are missing --> I have a vert and, over the summer, drive about 2 hours to visit friends. I keep the top down but, on long trips like this, it's nice to get some relieve from the wind buffeting your ears. In other words, top down is great but not on multi-hour trips.

, but the vette net is well worth it if you take any kind of a trip with the top down. i'm glad i bought one. if you want to see a really great and creative adaptation of the concept, do a search of members for "mrgil". he designed and built a great "net" that can be left in the car and will "fold" to allow the top to be raised and then put back in place without a problem. it is very creative and nicely designed.

I've got a vette net too. It works. Cuts the noise at freeway speeds only if you put the side windows up as well. It lets you communicate with your passenger in a normal tone of voice on the freeway and better hear your radio or CDs.

It also works really nice on cold days/nights. Put it on, roll up the windows, set the heater up and enjoy driving in sub 60's & 50's temps all day/night long!

I'm planning on selling my vette this year so would consider reasonable offers for my vette net (PM me). IMO, keeping it with the car will not enhance the car's selling price so I'm happy to give it up now. It has the black frame.

The vetnet is the best one out there mine is contoured at the bottom to match the contour of the water fall and i also drilled new holes in mine to raise it up 3" due to me being 6'3". well worth the money on long trips. had mine for 6 years one of the best mods i ever done.

Sounds like it works. Is yours the net type or the polycarbonate type? How much you want for it, Rickko?
