OK, folks.... here is the deal.
I have an 03z and the passanger window will not roll down. Is there a secret about some sort of window lock I may be missing? I wanted to know before I pull the door panel off. All fuses are good to go. The car only has 8000k on it so Im thinking it may not be a mechanical issue ( I hope)
The car has window tint on it and Im thinking that something got unplugged.
When I hit the button on the drivers door to roll it down, I hear a clicking sound from the passenger door but it will not go down.
So there is no sort of window lock Im missing, right? (go ahead and laugh at me, lol)
It may be a relay in the control module inside the door. There are 3 relays-
1 for the windows and 2 for the lock. Each one controls either up or down or lock and unlock. I lost an unlock relay at 4000 miles. It can be fixed for a bit of labor and the cost of a new relay- a few dollars.
Mine got stuck once also. The motor gear was jammed, turn ignition key to on position, go to passenger side door, push the window down button and push down on the top of the window at the same time. If it was just stuck it should pop free immediately.
when mine doesnt work, the power locker from the door doesnt work either. if your window doesnt go down and the power lock works then its something else. keep us posted
If you're hearing the click (which is the relay), your motor is probably seized up. Mine did this. Pulled the motor out, whacked it with a rubber mallet a few times, put it back together, and everything works like a charm. Sounds ridiculous, but I'm serious.
These windows have no limit switch to shut them off so they just run up against the stops until the motor stalls. I think the combination of driving the mechanism against the stops and the extra pressure of the weatherstrip, just jams the drive gears and motor.
If you get the motor freed up, I would suggest you bump the window down a fraction of an inch to unload the drive gears. I had a brand new window regulator stick, but since I have been using this technique, I have not had a window stick.

100% I`ve been doing this for awhile now & haven`t had it stick since. I leave it down about 1/8th in. Doesn`t leak when I wash it either!
If the relay in the door is clicking then the door control module (DCM) is probably fine. I replaced the relay in mine to no avail (tried the cheap way out first), and it was a pain in the neck. My car has less than 40K miles. Regulator assemblies (includes the motor) in both doors were replaced under warranty before 15K miles, and I just replaced the passenger side again a couple of months ago. These regulator assemblies are poor quality, needless to say. If your car is out of warranty the dealer will charge $600+ to do the job. You can do it yourself for $275, the wholesale cost of the reg asm if you shop around. Striking the door can free up the motor, but your mileage will vary as to how long it will go before it freezes up again. This is a great video on how to replace the regulator assembly. Took me less than 2 hours to do it. It also demonstrated how to strike the door w/o damaging anything to get the window down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGXSDzazWx0

Except I left mine in place and with the door panel off, re- connect the switch, turn the key on give it a down command, and smack the motor a few times with a small hammer, just be sure to pull your arm out when the window starts to move.
