I have one installed on mine. I just don't feel like giving the police any reason to stop me for something like not putting the plate on.

I have a front plate on my 01 coupe, used to not have it on, but was stopped and written a ticket by the LEO 3 times in a month. Since the economy is bad cities here in north Texas are hurting for revenue so they write tickets for erverything.

Knock on wood, so far I haven't had a problem with the vette. got stopped in my pickup for no front plate and in my Mitsu Eclipse once. If I ever have to put a plate on the front I'll probably sell the car, first. I think they're butt ugly and just don't belong there. I've never seen one on a Viper, Ferrari, Lambo or even a Prowler in Vegas or Reno. I don't know why they'd pick on a vette other than they're cheap. The high rollers sure's hell wouldn't put one on their cars. They just might be exempt, however........

Front plates ?
I know I'm stupid, but what is the purpose of having a front plate ? And if you DO have to have a plate on the front of your car, Why can't you have it stuck down against the windshield ? I just don't see the purpose of a front tag, How does it help LEO ? If they can read backwards and your wanted for something, what they gonna do, Stop ?

Either way, most of my friends that i talk to that were or are cops don't even mess with cars that just do want they are suppose to do... If you stand out like a low rider or some stupid bass 4 times too loud or really young and things.. its then a very simple reason to pull you over and harass you.. Yes harass you.. that is just life.. the people that don't like it, need to just grow up and act right hahaha
FYI, most of you have nothing to worry about..unless you drive a red vette ..then you deserve it!!!hahahah

Local LEOs never gave me a problem...but State Highway Patrol did hassle me a bit an an auto parts store.
Didn't figure it was worth the problems, that and my filler plate is a bit boogered up.
I have the U-shape filler installed, I don't think it looks bad at all. It's still a very sexy car.
