Well what a combination!!Pretty much the whole new year has been a combination of winter weather,,and a family crisis .My mom has been in and out of the hospital and now at home with me and Hospice care. Needless to say stress level has built up high! Well last night the roads have gotten pretty clear,,an were dry. Relatives came over,,so I could get out for a while and immediately headed for the FRC. A modest snow was again starting to fly,,but only making the streets damp,,,I was going regardless!!To plagiarize Toyota(before their current problems) "OH WHAT A FEELING"!!! A few good blast through the gears with the power and sound sensations,,really made all the tension dissolve away.Settled in for an nice cruise got the oil temps up nice and warm for a good while and just savored the experience!! What great therapy!! If everybody bought a vet,,it would really make a dent in the psychology business!!
Sorry to hear about your mother, been there and done that with my mom and mother in law. No matter how bad the day has been, a ride in the Corvette is very soothing for me too. Hang in there man.
Thanks,,she has had a good run,,87years. Almost since I bought it we would have regular outings for breakfast or other errands,,and she was always impressed with the vette! She could not believe that it was not a new car.She was small enough to raise and lower in and out with no trouble. Not the BIGGEST fan when I'd get on it,,,she'd say "you like doing that don't you",,,,wellll yeah!! Nothing like good old American power to make conversation!! Great therapy as well !! Love your avatar,,I bet standing on that is REALLY therapeutic!!

Thanks all for the kind thoughts!! For better or worse She is in her last hours or days. Been pretty much of a shut in with her,,but the last couple of days relatives have been able to relive me,,and the WEATHER has cooperated,,,and was able to get out in the FRC again!! I know it may sound a little weird,,but a good run in the vet REALLY does help decompress!!I've become accustomed to being in it on a Very regular basis,,getting back in for a nce run is a blast!! Weather may be a factor tomorrow! Again,,thanks to all!!
Yep, sometimes I just have to get in it and go. 3° when I took this shot.
It's therapy for sure. Driving my other cars helps also but I have to hammer on them too hard to get the same feeling I get from just cruising in the Corvette.
Again,,thanks to all,,nice to know there are kindred spirits here. Guess since it IS a Corvette Forum that there are going to be folks that get the concept that a blast in a Corvette does a better job of clearing the mind!! My truck is too big, slow and too quiet. The wife's focus is too small, quiet and SLOW. When the FRC kinda barks to life and all the sounds and sensations when you step on it do make thing melt to the background!! Little sis is over,,we are getting some light snow, but the streets are still pretty clear,,,may just have to "RUN SOME ERRANDS" again!!Thanks again guys!!
