Default manual trans question

I have a 6 speed that used to not want to go into reverse easily when it was cold, I put royal purple in it and it has no issue now.

Does that mean that the trans is on borrowed time?

Also I have 2.73 and it is hard to get into 6th unless I am going fast enough (80+) to where 6th gear will be doing 1300 + RPM's?

Now reverse works fine and all other shifts are great, no issues.

Any thoughts / experiances would be great.

all 6 speeds have 3.42 gears, if you really have 2.73's someone replaced them.

your trouble could be caused by the shifter not being aligned correctly, its a pretty simple thing to fix. there are some threads on it out there. someone else can probably offer more info.

thanks I will search, also the prev owner put in a used rear end that he thought was out of a M/T but it was a 2.73 rear end. The only good thing is that I can do 90 and only be turning 1500 RPMS
