Can someone tell me the difference in why some c5s have the split/fin down the door and others don't? My dad had a pewter c5 2002 with it, you have a 98 with it, and I have a 99 pewter c5 without it.

It was an option, my "97" has it listed on the sticker.

That thing is called Body Side Moldings, or BSM's. This option is one of those that you either hate or love. Personally - I strongly dislike them....but to each his/her own.
