C5 Kit Cars

This actually started over in the autocross section. No one really knew about the C5 kit car program back in 1999. I just finished up an article for Corvette Fever magazine about the same time this discussion came up. I've put this C5 kit car article on my web site.

This is a little known part of C5 history.

This will appear in Corvette Fever in the next couple of months with a lot more pictures. In the mean time enjoy the article.

Ya GTM, and Factory Five racing. I believe they are one in the same and you basically build your own supercar using a C5 doner car. Plenty of upgrades and options. Supercar performance for a fraction of supercar pricing!

After reading that why am I upset about buying my C5Z?? Even though it is an inferior wind design I still think it looks better. Ay high speed the c5z is twitchy, but my 08Z was also, although I could go faster in the c6z but it still got hairy at high speed.
