C5 Z06 or C6 w/LS2?

My C4 Z51 rattled like crazy. On normal smooth road, sometimes you'd still have to talk a little louder to converse with the passenger.
My C5Z06 is likely the quietest car I've ever owned (except when I got in the gas). My mom has an Infiniti M35 and the interior noise was only a hair less than my C5Z. Mainly because you can't hear the VQ35 motor. You really could hear and feel the LS6 when you put your foot in it. Aside from putting the peddle down, the car drove like a luxury car when it came to sound. No squeaks, rattles, or weird noises. I'd say that occasionally, I'd hear the transmission syncros spin up while down shifting at real slow speeds. But honestly, I like the sound of the engine and trans doing their thing. I actually LOVE it.

I've changed things like a torque converter, shocks and a transmission on my Camaro.
I did these tasks by reading how tos online.
Can I still work on the vette in my garage or will it be next to impossible without a lift?
