Default windshield scratch

Noticed on my new to me 01, ZO6 that the passenger side part of the windshield has wiper mark on it. Very light scratch that you can see when the sun hits it. Is there anything that can be done to remove it?Thanx in advance!

Do you have an orbital buffer like a Porter Cable etc? I would try with some light swirl remover with a light cutting pad, or try a glass polishing kit. You could do it by hand, but it would be labor intensive. There is always the option of taking it to a pro at a glass and trim shop.

I don't have an orbital buffer.Sounds like the pro option would be the ticket for me.Thanx Dave

THE EASTWOOD COMPANY sells a kit that is supposedly capable of removing minor blemishes from automotive glass. It only needs a hand held power drill. It comes with an applicator and polishing product...

AUTO GEEK sells this kit...

I think GRIOT'S GARAGE sells a similar product. If you're confident in a DIY project and have a hand held drill, it might be worth a try.

However, if the marks are deep into the glass, detectable by running your fingernail across it, then it might not be repairable.

Just get you some Cerium oxide from any window/glass place and rub it out by hand.
