I'm thinking of painting my frc's with a simple stripe pattern similar to the grand sport fender stripes - pic is a mock-up using vinyl tape .. would paint them on. What is your opinion?.. not trying to be really fancy - just dress up underhood a bit.
That is different. Not bad. I would leave the tape on for a while to see if you like it. Are you planning on GS fender stripes? If so, I would paint the FRC's Torch Red to match the car and then the stripe on them to match the fender. Just an idea.
Do you have them on the fenders too? I'm not a fan of either but if you have them on the fenders it would be a nice theme to have them on the frc's too

We did a similar style for forum member (Trayc6) a few months back.
Maybe this will give you some ideas of what will look correct in regards to placement and size of the stripes.

No for me, however it does look different and somewhat unique. I agree you should leave the tape for awhile before the final paint is done to make sure you still like it.
