Default Trailer question- need help

I posted a thread in the autocross section also, just trying to get the most coverage/exposure.

I have a 16' foot dovetail, dual axle trailer, bed dimensions are 82 1/2" wide, by 192" (obviously 16ft) long. I bought floor mount D rings that I am going to weld in, my question is can anyone tell me the optimum placement in the deck to install these. I have a 99 coupe and plan on using the frame slots to secure the car to the trailer. If you could please provide the measurments it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Bobby

About 48" center to center of the tie downs and 6" back from the front of the trailer ( 6" forward of the rear in back) works quite well. This is assuming that you are going to cross your tie downs both front and back. I've towed my Z this way for thousands of miles without a problem. I put the car in neutral and set the hand brake.
