What do C5 owners do that do not have run-flats exactly? I have heard people mention fix a flat and an air compressor. I looked at fix a flat today in the parts store and it is not rated for Z rated tires.
I should be getting my C5 at the end of this month (finally!)

I have non-run flats on my C5 and what I carry is this..
Z06 tire kit.
A plug kit.
A small scissor jack.
A 4 way tire wrench.
a 2x6 to help raise the car.
Screw driver.
Needle nose pliers.
Flashlight.
Cell Phone.
AAA.
and it all fits in the center cubby.
I do have a GTO spare, But I have never taken it with me.

Find yourself an OEM Z06 tire patch kit.
or
Put your own together, items needed tire plug kit available at any auto parts store + an air compressor pump/tire inflator with a cigarette lighter adaptor power plug - many brands available I opted for a Crafstman from Kmart for about $40.
Stay away from the gooey stuff that you pump into the tire via the valve stem which comes in the compresed cans, it supposedly messes up your TP sensors.
Actually I carry basically the same with the exception of the jacking equipment. If the wheel has to come off the cell phone is coming out.

I carry the little Z06 compressor, a plug kit, and a flashlight. It would be a pain if I actually had a flat but I think I could get myself back on the road. The hardest part would be finding the puncture and getting it to a location where I could put the plug in it without actually taking the wheel off the car. Hope it never happens, but so far so good.
Those that respond with “just call AAA” better hope that the “tech” that shows up knows how to handle a C5. You may be setting yourself up for expensive and time consuming repair.

Any advice would be great and thanks.
I carry a can of fix flat, if you are also going too, then never buy the cheap one's, they don't work, get the one that has a fill hose and nozzle and cost about 6-8 dollars, because of the large rear tires, either get the truck size or carry two cans and also put together a patch kit. The idea of the fix flat is to get off the highway ASAP as there are too many people killed each year tending to their disabled cars. If you get a flat on a local street or at the mall or other safer location then you can take your time and locate the puncture and use the patch kit to repair...This is the reason I carry my flat fix kits in all my cars, including the one's with a spare tire. Don't become a highway statistic.
And no, the fix flat is not Z rated, it is designed to get you going so that you can make it home or to a service station, not drive 110 mph (get real)

When you call AAA, simply tell them about the car. AAA will send a flatbed tow truck if a tow is needed and most AAA Contractors will toss a hydraulic floor jack on the truck if it's needed for something like a flat tire. You may have to wait a bit longer, but AAA is easy to work with on specialty cars.

It's been my experience that if you tell them what you need they handle it.
I had to have my Corvette towed once (don't even remember why ) and told them to send a roll off. They did.
Had the fuel pump of my Explorer go out on the third floor of a parking garage. Max clearance of 7' 4". Told the AAA dispatcher and they found the right tow truck to handle it.
Keep in mind AAA will not fix a flat tire, they will put on a spare.
My last flat was in my work parking lot @ 7 PM. I called AAA for a flatbed to tow it home and fix it there. It was a 2 1/2 - 3 hour wait as the flatbeds were booked up. I ended up fixing it myself in 45 minutes.
Also keep in mind, if you have a screw on the inner portion of a rear tire, without pulling the tire, it is going to be very difficult to fix.
IMO, a AAA card and a cell phone is nowhere near sufficient.
