$$$$ alot! it cost alot to change colors on a c5, cause you have to do door jams, under hood, trunk, etc. BUT you could 2 tone it black/silver, and not have to paint these areas. alot of good looking 2 tones search 4 pics! also alot of terrible looking 2 tones so be careful, keep it tasteful.
My advice, unless you have invested a lot of dollars on mods, would be to sell the silver one and buy a black one. That would be cheaper than getting a quality repaint changing the color.

A high quality repaint is going to cost you in the neighborhood of $5-9K, depending on the shop. You can most likely sell yours and get one the color you want for that kind of money. Plus, while black looks good when clean, it is a major PITA to keep it that way.
you have to really love the color black if you want to own a black car. i happen to because i know it is a timeless color that will never be out of style such as yellow, silver, or burnt orange for example. whether it is in style or not i dont care because it is what i like and i could care less who likes it or not but it still will always be in style regardless. the "labor of love" as i refer to it is worth it. having a california duster has made this labor keeping it pretty so much easier. i recently went to a show where i parked right outside the cars registered in the lot that were in the show and the cars were beautiful and in show condition and were getting a lot of attention. i cleaned the hell out of my car that morning before attending and as i was leaving to pull out a woman walked up to me and asked me what year my car is and i replied "it's a daily driven 2000" she said to me well why didnt you enter this in the show i would have voted for it. i told her "thanks" and drove away with the biggest smile on my face that lasted into that night. i know for a fact that happened because my car was black and it was clean. the other vettes parked nearby in the show were silver, burnt orange, and white. i would not paint my car black i would go find a mint black car and get a clear bra for the nose.
