Default Another exhaust question

Hi

Sorry guys but l'm looking to pick up another C5 and every time l look at one they seem to have another brand of exhaust.

Because of the snow l am not able to see this vette in person but the pic's look good which is ???? Digital pic's tends to hide a lot.

But what l was able to see is that it had an oval exhaust tip which of course means it's not orig.

Anyway it appears to be from Mid America their own brand which can be the Quad Cruiser rated at 2-2-1 which is ok and the Quadrapower rated at 2-3-1 which is not good being that it's a vert.

As far as a crossover pipe, l will have to find out when l see it in person.

What bother's me is that in order to mount this exhaust the orig exhaust had to be cut.

I would have been happy with the orig or even the Ti exhaust or at least a Corsa Pace.

What do you think of this exhaust.

The rest of the vette appears good, a little pricey but l'm willing to pay for it if it's worth it.

Thanks

Alan

You'll just have to see it and hear it and make your own decision. You can always pick up some TI's and replace them if you don't like them. No biggie.

The quality of the sound is in the eye of the buyer. If you like the car but not the exhaust, you can always change the catback. Lots of good choices out there.

I would think that l can get away with 2-2-1. If it's too loud then my wife will say lets take her vert (Audi). Not that l don't like it but always loved vettes.

If it was up to me l would have 3-3-3, the closet vette l had that had that note was my 1968 back in the day!

Pix? My 99 had stock oval tips. Now it has chrome cannons from a ZO6. Most, if not all, cat backs bolt up to the rest of the exhaust without cutting anything. If you'd be happy with original exhaust they can be found for free. I've been offered a few sets myself.
