First mod done MYSELF lol...
So today I received a complete Z06 antenna assembly
(thanks to tlc0706
)
I search a lot on this mod for a convertible but never saw any write ups or people that have done it and shared. So I thought I'd share and just show you guys mine and offer any help to other vert owners...
As for ease of completion it was actually pretty simple for only know how to get to the assembly in the car.
Today I tackled it in a parking lot near my dads shop
After I installed it I turned on the radio, now the quality is not THAT good compared to the 2ft antenna that came with this. But I dont listen to the radio alot and I would never go through the hassle of installing a switch to disable the power antenna when I want
anyway heres the end result...
I bought that antenna off some odd corvette site, not southern-car-parts....
oh and yes I know my car is dirty as hell

oh yes it has been used haha, even at times when we(ppl in maryland) I drove it with 3ft of snow!
oh and here's the other antenna that I coulda put on, better reception too....

hahah roads are still salty, and I drive my vette daily now cause the DD is at the dealership....clamps on exhaust (from corsa) SUCK!
I bought 4 new clamps, and dont have a lift, and have a gravel driveway

I should have been more descriptive on the tips...actually I checked them out before I bought the 4 new clamps...and the CORSA clamps were tightened down all the way and STILL loose enough for the tips to move and even a little exhaust leak, I just dont have the place to throw the car up on jacks or a lift..
