If you are going to use a bra check the corner seams. My car has the paint marred from the previous owner having a bra on it from those seams. I ran it a few days but put some blue shop towels between the seam and body to keep it from getting worse. After seeing the dirt starting to get under it I removed it for good.
Keeping detailer on the car prevents the bugs from sticking.
The clear bra sounds like a good idea to prevent chips but I don't know how they look or hold up. I've seen some so-called clear protective films that yellowed and turned black at the edges so they looked about as bad as chips.
Ive used a bra on my previous cars (SRT-4 and a Cobra) for long drives. I left the Neon one on too long once after a rain and it kind of hazed the hood, then magically went away on its own after about a month. I like the idea of a clear bra, but from what I have seen they are expensive. I would say NO BRA though unless you drive far and long alot. If your car is black though it might not stand out so much and look so bad..
Speed Lingerie has a very good line of bras that you're going to pay for if you want quality. The good news is that they are worth every penny.
I have been using one on my Z for about 4 years. I remove it at least once a week to clean and vacuum it. I have no bra related scratches whatsoever...and no stone chips! Some people like them, some don't.
