My experience with LG MOTORSPORTS - BUYER BEWARE - PICS INSIDE
Well, let me start off by saying I'm not bashing anybody, just sharing my experience with everybody so they can make an educated decision on where to spend their money.
In December I bought a set of LG's new SUPER PRO 1 3/4" headers and their Big 3 3" catback. When it arrived, I pulled the headers out to look at them, and immediately noticed welds on the INSIDE of the header primary where they attach to the head. There was about a 1" - 1.5" lip where the INSIDES of the pipes were welded. Not only that, but the lip wasn't even the same size all the way around. It would go from about 1" to 3/4" to 1.5" and so on..: ack:
Next, the header pipes were all mismatched. It looked like they put in RANDOM pieces of pipes and welded it all together instead of one continuous mandrel bent pipe. I wouldn't mind this except for the fact that all of these miscellaneous peices of pipe were different sizes .... You could feel and even SEE by looking inside the pipes where it would drop down a good 1/4" and then go into another pipe and drop down again, and this continued through about 60% of the header.
Lastly, their so-called "equal length" primaries were definitely not "equal length". The rear passenger side primary, was a good 12" or so longer than the rest of the pipes. Could this be because there was about 4 different pipes welded together to make this pipe? I don't know.
When I called LG to explain how my headers looked, I spoke with Bobby and he told me, "EVERY single system we send out looks like that." He told me the welds on the INSIDE of the primaries are normal, and an uneven lip that the exhaust would be hitting on it's way out of the engine would not affect performance at all.
Well, my friend bought a set of LG Pro's about 3-4 years ago, luckily for us (unlucky for LG ) he did not have them on his car, so we were able to compare... Let me just sum it up by saying our headers looked COMPLETELY different. There were no welds on the inside of the primary, and no mismatched pipes just miscellaneously slapped together and welded. WHAT COULD HAVE CHANGED IN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS? Made in a different country? Who knows!
To make a long story short, the headers clearly needed to be sent back. I was promised a COMPLETE refund multiple times, I would just have to pay the shipping return cost of $65 something..
Shipped them out and they were received, inspected, and signed for on a Friday. I called them to verify the parts were received and that that I would be refunded in full. Again I was promised a credit to my account in full, and I was told everything was received fine.
It took them two weeks to refund my money. Every time I called I was promised the credit would go through on a certain day, and when I did not see the credit, I called and they had a new excuse everytime (they lost my credit card number and needed it again, accountant forgot, etc.)
TO MY SURPRISE, when I FINALLY did see the credit, it was about $650 less than what was promised. Apparently, after 2 weeks of having the parts in their shop, they came to the conclusion that the parts were damaged. They told me the HEADER FLANGE was "GOUGED", a header pipe was damaged, and the mufflers were scratched..
I asked for pictures of the damage, they said they had them and would email them to me as soon as we got off the phone. After waiting for a day I called back asking about the pictures, and again the excuses started.. "somebody was supposed to send them, they're in a different part of the shop we don't have access to, etc."
Needless to say, to this day I still have NOT received any pictures, and they have failed to resolve this over the phone or through email.
The pictures attached were taken the day I took them out of the box, and the same day they were sent back.

Pursue the refund through your cc company....forget waiting on the vendor to correct the issue. It's too bad about their new quality standards as I have the LG Street system on my C5 and the fit and finish are excellent.
On another note, I too had an issue with their customer service when UPS dropped off a package at my door during the day and I came home to discover it gone. They made a big stink about it and I had to recover my money via my credit card. No biggie, credit card issued me immediate refund and pulled the money from vendor. Within 24 hours they were calling me non-stop to see "what happened" and what they could do, etc.
Hope both vendor and buyer get this resolved amicably...
