Has anyone purchased and installed the 3M invisible bra or other products sold by <Invisiblemask.com> The web site makes it look real simple, and the prices are a lot cheaper than the Autobahn product as you do the install yourself.
I bought the 3M electro static clear rear rocker protectors from Ecklers. Sometime in the past five years I noticed one of them had come completely off. The other one is still in place. It has never discolored so I'd think a bra would last a long time.
I have the 3M invisible bra, and purchased it through them. As far as fitment goes, our C5's are actually really simple compared to some other cars I've installed this on in the past. Just take your time, don't be afraid to use lots of soap/water mix and stretch, and you'll be fine
I have the 3M bra on my Solstice, been there since 2006 and is almost invisible. Cost by a qualified installer was about $700.
Did plan on doing it to the Vette that I just brought in Dec. But am wondering about the fact that it's a ten year old car and there are no flaws on the front end or hood, hasn't been repainted, so I was wondering if it was even needed. Of course at 15k we know it was a garage queen......so I am still thinking of it.
BTW the install on the Solstice by a tech. was about 4 hours........ and that included the front end, about half way up the hood, mirrors, rocker panels.
Two different products... clear bras have an adhesive as opposed to the electro-static stuff. InvisibleMask.com is notorious for making it look easy. Thye primarily do business in selling kits, not installing them. I have heard numerous complaints from various car forums about them not getting the same kit that they ordered (the diagram was not what they recieved). This is also not a process for everyone to try. Application of film is a very tedious process and if you want good results it is better to have a professional installer apply it. I have been in the business now for 7 years and cant tell you how many times I have seen/heard of people buying kits and they end up throwing them away because they mess up the film. Its a great product but should be applied properly by a certified installer. You also will not get a warranty with the film unless the installer has been certified... no matter what InvisibleMask says.

I had mine professionally installed by Autobahn. They came right to the house and did a great job. It was $350 for the nose and mirrors. It was a deal through Corvette Mike in Plymouth, Ma. I would have it professionally installed.
A very good product, but it would be better if a pro installed it.
I bought the one from invisblemask. It's a 3m product. Had a professional install it and very glad I did. Had the front bumper, The surround around the front plate, the hood, front lower quarter panels, the doors (edge) both mirrors, the rear lower panel(after the wheels) and also on the inside of the rear tire section( where you would install splash guards to)and also the headlight glass.
I have the MCM carbon hood, so I needed a custom job done there. I can tell you this, it was worth spending the $400 to have him do it
I have had 3M Scothgard on 3 of my C5 Vettes. And it works only if you have a pro install it. The last time I have a pro install the film it took 5 hours of wetting, stretching, wetting and stretching.
It is worth the $350-400 to install
Good luck

Really how good does these $350-$400 dollar jobs look? I cannot believe someone spend 5 hours of labor plus material and only charged $400 max. Are they still in business. hahaha I know I would not be. Anyone can do a good job if you are looking at the car from 10 feet away.
This is a pay for what you get type of product so make sure you check around because most places have lower prices for a reason. Don't be afraid to spend a little more for a experienced installer with a clean shop and a good reputation. Ask for references or previous customers you can contact and any good installer will say no problem, call these people.
Had the 3M type installed on the front and mirrors of mine 5 years ago and I learned one thing - I'm so glad that I didn't try to install it myself. The clear plastic is almost invisible and does a great job. It really makes cleaning the bug debris off much easier. Remember, most times you only get what you pay for.

I have the 3M clear bra on both my DD and my C5 - both done by a professional installer. After watching the guy do the install, I'm glad I paid the extra to get it done right.
