I love the leafe blower, works well for me. Dries in half the time, gets the water out of all the cracks and off the wheels/rims. Touch up with a chamois.
I got a Master Blaster for Xmas, and it's literally a blast to use! It is far superior to compressed air or leaf blowers, but you pay for what you get. The volume of air is huge, it's heated and filtered. It gets ALL the water off the car. It does make drying the car fun, where I used to hate it.
BTW, I've used the California Water Blade for years and never had it scratch anything I've used it on.
I wash my C5, once a week, I use a California Car squeegee , then a drying towel, I would buy the Blower, but, at this time it will have to wait. I need to get other things first.
If I don't stop looking at everything that goes on sale on this forum, My wife will pull the plug on my computer. I just Installed seals on the tail lights and hood seal. and also a window valet. She said THATS IT, NO MORE. Bummer
I used a California blade on my 1st Vett and it left extremely fine scrathes in the clear coat now I only use compressed air, leaf blower and a micro. Hint: If you use a blow gun, drill a small hole a wine cork and slip it over the metal, this will keep avoid a scratch if you get careless
The Master Blaster blows heated and filtered air, unlike a leaf blower. I have sold a couple of these as an Adam's dealer. I cannot speak for Top Flight as a vendor, but I can speak for the unit itself. I highly recommend it and I use it all the time!
I did not use Top Flight, but bought one of the blaster models (not sure which one) and use it after washing my Harley.... It works great.
I actually haven't used it on the Vette yet, need to give it a try.....
Makita 18V Cordless Blower, don't have a picture but works great and only use where water collects like the side mirrors. I use other cordless tools that use the same type of battery as well. http://www.cpomakita.com/cordless_to...t/ub181dz.html

I have one I bought last fall and It is so much better than the leaf plower I was previously using. The hose and tip are a soft rubber compound. If I did accidental drop or hit my car with it I don't think it would do any damage. The Master Blaster is definitely heavy duty and built to last. The cord to plug it in is heavy duty. It looks like a 12 gage power cord. Since it filters and heats the air no contaminates are blown onto the car and the heated air also evaporates some of the water.
Are they expensive? Well that depends on your definition of expensive. For me $300 is not expensive for what it provides and what it is helping to keep clean. As above, I can't speak to Top Flight as a vendor since I didn't buy from them, However I would suggest that we should always support or supporting vendors when they are competitive. Top Flight price is competitive to what I paid.
I guess you've got the cruise control set to 60 all the time then!

BTW, think about a 150 mph leaf blower. If it picks up any dirt or grit as its doing its job, what would 150mph grit do to your finish?
1. California Water Blade: remove the mass amount of water
2. Microfiber: dry the car
3. Use my Chemical Bros' portable car dryer: removes water from side mirrors, lights, the emblems, and crevices like where the doors meet the front quarter panels.
Works great. Wish I had the master blaster though. The small dryer I have cannot dry the car fast enough to be used alone.
They are also great for cleaning out the HVAC vents inside.

So true... Unless you are running the leave blower during a sand storm the amount of dust is insignificant to nothing... Certainly no worse then driving down the Interstate with a decent head wind, tossing sand sized or larger paticles at your car, or go forbid dust coming off commercial vehicles... Anyone that has rode a motorcyle for any amount of time with exposed skin will contest that there are a lot of pins and needles to be had during normal driving...
Also the air coming out of those blowers might be 100+ measured at the very tip but it dimishes VERY rapidly with every inch after that...
