I have the Zip Lowering bolts installed. I also just removed the front bolts and glued down a piece of rubber mat between the leaf and a- arm. While the front isn't as low as I hoped, it is lower than the rear. I have 1" of gap in the front at the top of the wheel.
About 1 3/4" in the rear even with the bolts at the end of the thread.
My question is about the rubber bushings on the rear bolts. They are two piece. One piece has the nub that sticks in the leaf or a-arm. The other is more of a spacer. Can either of those be removed to get some more drop out of the bolts? Or should I go and get even longer bolts?
I'm yet to drive it. Waiting on the new tiger shark exhaust and my pcm to get here from ECS. I dropped it back on the ground a couple days ago and figured it has settled about as much as it will. I hope I'm wrong. I plan on driving it easy for 50 miles or so then get it in for an alignment.
It WILL settle down after you drive it. With the front bolts removed it will be way down in the front. And if you added longer rear bolts and took them down to 2 threads exposed, it WILL be down considerably. Just wait until you drive it. It only takes one good launch and one good brake application and it will settle down.
