Cold Air Intake Recommendations?
Hi, I am looking for a simple cold air intake set-up. I have had the Vortex that sits in the radiator shroud, but I want something I can install and remove quickly. So Vararam and Vortex are out! I also don't care for the cheesy chrome dual filter set up. What do you guys think of the LG Intake, its simple and cheap. I like the Haltech, and Blackwing. Anything work exceptionally well on the LS6?

I have the Haltech Venom. It seems to work pretty good.

I have the slp blackwing. I like it. Simple, and just as much hp as any other intake "claims".

The BLACKWING is also a big freakin filter, so alot of air.
I have had the HALLTECH TRAP/HALLTECH VENOM, BLACKWING, VORTEK and I think HALLTECH was my favorite.

I like the Halltech Venom. For the price it's a great intake. You also get the new power duct and relocate the MAF and get the air straighter.

+1 for Haltech. +2, really, as I and the wife both have them. I like the MAF relocation and the install was easy.

If you're going to bother, the best require cutting the shroud. The best performing and quality is the Callaway Honker. Fits and looks like OEM. You get what you pay for, you won't be sorry. Easy to service, too. If you're not cutting the shroud, for the money I'd stay stock and not bother.

Well looks like I am SOL on the Halltech as they no longer make the Venom system for the C5. I really want a simple duct/filter set-up, and not sure if I care for K&N. Any other suggestions?

I am looking for an intake aswell. If you look at Halltech site they show the Venom 2. I have not seen anyone with this yet.
