Curious....
If the factory 8 awg/ 6 awg cable isn't fused, then why fuse a 1/0 awg cable?
Seems like the smaller cable would be more at risk. If GM didn't see a need to fuse this connection, then why would we? I have what I need here, ANL Wafer fuse and holder. a couple 150A and 200A fuses. Just curious why we should fuse it.
Any part of the frame rails are ideal. The strongest ground that's eeasily accessable would probably be the hood-hinge bolts. There are some smaller mounting locations in the area, but i accidently broke one off over torquing it.

That's why I'm asking. The one showed being used is a small stud off the rail with a nut on it. Doesn't look very strong for a couple 1/0 cables to be grounded to. I'm gonna try to use the hinge bolts so I can really crank them down.

Don't forget to sand down the area to bare metal for the best contact.

Yeah, I've been into car audio for over 20 years. Since I got my first POS car. I figured if I had a nice stereo, didn't matter if the car was a bucket of s#!t. I turned it into a business for a while and then moved into home theater. I've been collecting car audio gear for a while and finally have the car to install it in.
