Nice article. I almost bought a 98 Pace Car back in '00 but opted instead to get the '00 pewter coupe that became available the day I was supposed to finalize the deal on the pace car. The '98 pace car certainly was a love it or hate it type of car.

I love my Pace Car - even my wife who really "gets" the whole Corvette fascination still has a hard time with the Pace Car. I didn't buy the car to please anyone but me - and I don't much care what everyone else thinks of it.
This is not a car to drive if you are in the Witness Protection program. It attracts ALOT of attention! I have shown the car at car shows - little kids and pretty women are drawn to the car like a moth to a flame. I can't even begin to guess how many of both have asked to sit in the car and have their pic taken.
