Default Now Brake Rotors

My 98 is still up on jack stands. I just finished doing the Z51 sway bar and Z06 shock upgrade. Piece of cake to do the install. Now my rotors look like crap. I would like to do drill/slotted replacement. I do not want to upgrade to Z51 with new caliper brackets etc. Just do a base upgrade. I see that GMPartshouse and Parts Taxi have them for a decent price. Are those GM rotors?? Are they of good quality? Should I be looking elsewhere? I've done a search on drilled/slotted rotors and some old forum vendors show up and as everyone knows, this is a broad subject. Any input would be appreciated.

I added a set just 4 months ago.. othey seem good enought BUT.. they dont have that "bling" that others do... I think the others are zink plated.. the GM's do show some rust at the places that thepads dont contact the disk.. Its only ~1/8" at the outter edge and the same on teh inner but its starting to nagg at me.

My thought is that unless you have the need for them or just want the different look, regular rotors are fine. I've always bought stock rotors as I do not race or track.

I think the money saved on rotors should be spent on better pads instead, IMHO.

Another choice you could look at is http://brakeperformance.com They have drilled/slotted, dimpled/slotted, zinc coated rotors. I've had mine (dimpled/slotted) for almost 3 years, and no problems with performance or looks.

Default Trigger pulled

I bought rotors and ceramic pads for my 95 from BrakePerformance and was very satisfied. I just put my order in for the 98 to BrakePerformance. Case closed!! I did have the sway bars GOLD plated and I'm thinking of doing the same to the shocks.
