I am going to have the headers and tune done, but I currently have a Borla stinger and a k&n intake. Should I replace the intake with the vararam before the headers or leave it? I have a 2004 Auto.
Basically want to know what will give me more hp before I tune? the k & n or the vararam?
vararam if its not a daily driver. otherwise, you are going to have to clean your filter way too often. so it depends. i chose to go with a k&n cone filter setup, install some z06 fog screens, and remove the fog light panels. this way i can still get cold air without getting crap in my filter all the time. mine's a DD.

this is the exact setup I have on right now. and it is my DD.
doesn't removing the fog panels (or drilling them) create pressure under the hood and some high speed lift? Vararam directs air into the engine - not the engine bay.

See, my main reason for asking is I already bought the K &N. If after the tune and headers It won't be that much of a difference then thats what I need to know.

you are probably right. if you installed some z06 screens then it would probably keep out leaves and other debris. i just dont have one because i do a lot of long distance highway driving in torrential rains haha. i can recall several times trucks have splashed enough water on my car that i would have sucked in water with any kind of ram air intake. i dont think you will get more power out of any other intake though.
