Check out the thread started by Toque here This was a very easy mod. I don't have a CD changer so I bought a PXDP with the PXHGM4 cable. I bought it off Ebay but one of the vendors sells it here on the forum for a great price. Good luck!

Its pretty simple
I have 2 kits available for you
If you have a cd changer its about m 5 minutes tops
unplug changer and plug in next pxdp/pxhgm2 harness combo
run wire to center console area and your done

this next option if for you
remove radio bezel
remove radio
plug in new pxdp/pxhgm4 harness combo
reinstall radio
reinstall bezel
listen to tunes.

I did the first kit he mentioned. At the time Bestbuy carried the kit and it was $99. It had all cables needed. 10 minutes later I had my iPod plugged in and working great.
My car is a 99 with (used to have) the CD changer and a OEM tape deck head unit..

I had this installed on my coupe before I totaled it out. The "output" of the line out was too high, and serious clipping was noticed on every track. I had to drop the level of my entire library of music about 10db to remove the distortion.
I also noticed a clicking noise coming from the right side speakers.
I'm unsure if my pxpd was a "lemon" unit, or if that's how they all are.
I really miss the functionality though, and will probably install this again in my Z06.
Did anyone else have sound quality issues with this unit?

Anyone come across a good mount that can be used for both an iPod or iPhone? Don't want the one that goes in the cup holder. Would like something up by the dash so that I could use the iPhone map program for directions if need be.

I have a Z06 too; this took me all of 20 minutes and I ran my ipod line up to my center console in the process.

C5 97-04 traction control strip --> $19.'s I got mine for less due to a package deal they had. Shift boot, e-brake, traction control trim, door and grab bar wraps. Very well made.
