Default Seat and mirror memory

I can't tell you how many times I have adjusted the driver's seat and driver's door outside mirror on my 03Z, and set it to memory. But each time I use the fob to unlock my car, the seat moves, and the mirror adjusts downward. Once I'm in the car, I push the memory button on the door, and the seat and mirror move a little, but not back to where I set them. If I push the button again, they move a little more. After pushing the button 4 or 5 times, they will finally go back to where they were set. I'm the only one who drives the car, and I can't understand why they move in the first place. Any ideas? Thanks.

P.S. The passenger side mirror doesn't seem to be affected. It stays where I set it.

Make sure if you are setting memory #1 you are actually using FOB #1...

Are you locking the car with the FOB? IIRC you need to use the FOB to both lock and unlock the car. Close door and insert the key.

Turning the key to start before the memory function is done interrupts movement to the set position.

I don't believe the memory function does anything for the passenger side.

Mine was so screwed up, I pulled the fuse from the passenger side fuse box, for about 15 minutes, and it seems like all memory was erased, it's working fine now.

If I'm the only one who drives the car, and I use the same key/fob to lock, unlock, and start the car, then why does the seat and mirror change positions in the first place? My wifes BMW doesn't do that. It stays at the same setting until the other memory button is pushed no matter how many times it is locked, unlocked, or driven.

That sounds reasonable. I will try that. Thank you.

I pulled 2 fuses, I believe they were number 11, and 34.

Do you have the "easy exit" feature enabled? If so, that's why the positions change when you shut the car off.

The easy exit feature is off. The position doesn't change when I shut the car off, it changes when I unlock the car using the fob.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found that this can be adjusted simply through the DIC. Sorry for the lame question; just got my new (to me) 2004 coupe yesterday.
