Default How much time to remove Vette Net

Looks like it has to be taken off to raise the top. How long does it take to remove the Vette Net? Or put it back on?

My wife hates her hair blowing around. I know that if I try to make one, it will not look as nice. Gotta fork out the money.

From what I understand, once the brackets are mounted it only takes seconds and can be put in the trunk. I'll be buying one soon.

I hear ya. I have to ask if it's ok to put the top down...which in translation means "you need to wear a baseball cap because I'm putting the top down". She is cool with it, but it does depend on where we are going.

couple of minutes tops, the two brackets set in on each end with the deck lid in up position, have a squared open pipe for the posts of the vette net to slide in, it is a breeze to put on and take off. ps. my wife will use a dew rag and it keeps hair in place and keeps the back from knotting in the wind, I mention this since your name is HD 2 c5 , I figured you may know what I mean, had harleys before vette myself.

Takes about a second, two if your a little uncoordinated. Just grab it and lift it out of its two support brackets. Another second to remove the brackets. Or you can start putting the top up and the brackets will fall out of position just by that motion of the top.

You can easily store/rest it on the center arm rest if you are leaving the car for a bit but plan to put the top down upon your return. That way you can quickly grab it and slide it into its brackets when you put the top back down when return to the car. Or you can store it in the trunk.

it takes about 2 minutes to get the brackets seated and another minute to keep the frame level and slide it into the bracket tubes. less time to take it down. it is absolutely true you can't even open the rear panel to raise the top with it in place. it takes longer to take it out of the trunk and any storage bag it may be in than it does to put it up. if you take longer higher speed rides, it is an excellent addition. if you are just cruising around town at city speeds, not worth it to even put it on. i only use mine on the longer highway plus speeds.

You must have a different model. Mine is the plexiglass style. "2 minutes to get the brackets seated???" My style isn't like that. The brackets nearly seat themselves, all you have to do is position them which takes about 1/2 a second.

Also, I can open and close the rear panel without a problem with the VetteNet installed.
