Default Electron Blue

Anyone have any idea why Electron Blue was only offered 2 years? I think it's a great color.

Default I agree

I have an '03 EB and think it is one of the best colors GM every put on a Corvette. BUT, wait until you have to have any part painted! According to our body man it is almost impossible to match. My trunk had a small "spider" crack in it and under warranty (several years ago) they ended up painting the entire rear of the car (doors back) in order to match the trunk! The following year they switched to a darker blue with almost no flecks in the paint.

Guess that's probably right - but bodyshops can do pretty good work these days - I had the rear cargo door on my wife's Lexus RX350 repainted (dark grey metalflake) and the matched to a "T" - (but it's probably easiere for GM to change the color to less flecks and solve the problem)

EB's still a beautiful color!!!

Probably the same reason MSG was only offered for 2 years.

Not true.
We just got done a custom hood and door panels for Z06Joe in EB and the match is perfect. If your bodyshop has the knowledge and talent to match colors there isnt a problem with any color.

That blue is just ridiculously appealing to the eye. Always stops me in my tracks when I see one...

It seems to be a deeper blue than Nassau (both are great colors, though) - Really gleams in the sun.

Blue colors have never sold well on Corvettes. I have a Nassau Blue Metallic C5 and I love the color, but not many were made/sold.

The wing on my 02 EB Z06 matched PERFECTLY to all panels on my car front to back. My body shop guy told me he was incredibly amazed that it matched so well to all panels. He's not even sure how that's possible. Electron Blue is a very hard color to match. I think GM should have kept with it.

Electron blue will stop you in your tracks. I am glad it was only produced for two years. Makes mine a little less common. The numbers I have seen are a little over 3000 Z06s were EB. After having a black C4, my new 02 EB Z06 looks clean all of the time. Definitely my new favorite color.

I've seen one other one (ironically on the same day I bought mine) 'round these parts in like three years. Not a common color, for sure.

I don't think I've seen any others around here - I see Nassau Blue (and they are really nice also) but haven't seen another Electron Blue.

Most everywhere I go people comment on the color - makes you feel good!

I love how it looks a night under a parking light.

The absolute best looking color for a vette. Period.

Love EB. Couldn't take my eyes off of it in the showroom.
