Just changed the oil the other day and noticed a piece of the front spring was broken ! The broken piece runs the length between the two supports that bolt to the frame. As of right now the spring is not broken on the outer ends, yet Last time I changed the oil (Sept 09) the spring wasn't broken, so I have know idea how long its been broken. I snaped of the broken piece, then sealed up the exposed fiberglass with some Polyester resin.
I ordered a new spring from Gene@gmpartshouse and the spring is backordered without a ETA, (not Gene's fault) so with winter gone here I can't just let my Z sit until FOREVER. Has anybody else driven with a cracked spring? Then broken piece is just the lower bottom edge about a 1/4" thick, so not very big. Maybe I will get lucky and Gene gets the spring soon.

 

there is a used one for sale in the parts section right now.. look under the wrecked black Z06.. i think he was asking 400 for both springs..
