Just wondering if anybody has widened the factory C5 ZO6 rear wheels? I'm considering doing the L5 rear fenders and just looking at the options for rear wheels. Obviously I'm looking for the extra to be added to the outer lip, looking to go from 18"X10.5" to 18"X13".
I've called
1) weldcraft
2) viking wheel
3) kosman wheel
4) vaughn machine
5) champion wheel
Not all of them answered but the ones who did said if it is a front mount wheel they could, but if its a rear mount then the added material would have to go in the middle. I'm not sure? I think they are reffering to the dished area right past the bead on the wheel. Bascally where the tire would sit as you are rotating the wheel mounting the tire.
Any info would be great, Thanks

Your going to spend a lot of money with new tires and the cost of widening the rim. $100plus per rim to widen, and another $300 plus easy per tire...An alternative would be to buy wheel adapters....$100 for both
Thanks for the alternative, but my object is to put more rubber to the road!!! F-1D procharged 370ci, so I'm looking for traction! So is it possible to widen the Z wheels on the outer lip?? Thats the main answer I'm looking for. And a pic would be killer.
Thanks

I'm running the L5 fenders with 345 MT drs and went with an adapter. I widened my rims on the inside to 12" and had these done by Weldcraft. As stated not cheap but didnt have to rechrome the outer rims. Have been on my car for 3 years and 20k miles and no problems. Running a forged 427 with 20 lb boost from an F1c, and Nitrous. Cheers
