Default widening wheels

Just wondering if anybody has widened the factory C5 ZO6 rear wheels? I'm considering doing the L5 rear fenders and just looking at the options for rear wheels. Obviously I'm looking for the extra to be added to the outer lip, looking to go from 18"X10.5" to 18"X13".

I've called
1) weldcraft
2) viking wheel
3) kosman wheel
4) vaughn machine
5) champion wheel
Not all of them answered but the ones who did said if it is a front mount wheel they could, but if its a rear mount then the added material would have to go in the middle. I'm not sure? I think they are reffering to the dished area right past the bead on the wheel. Bascally where the tire would sit as you are rotating the wheel mounting the tire.
Any info would be great, Thanks

My object is to put more rubber to the road!!! F-1D procharged 370ci, so I'm looking for traction! So is it possible to widen the Z wheels on the outer lip?? Thats the main answer I'm looking for. And a pic would be killer.
Thanks

call wheel america, they did it for a friend of mine on his 01, if I remember correct they got a viper back half and welded it to the z front have which gave more backspace, he mini-tubbed as wheels were 13" I think, also for looks he added mild flare, good luck.

I think they are (IRT adding more middle) setting the wheel in more...no (L5) fenders required; However, a tub maybe be....

On another note:
Flash of red has a set on his Z with a 2" lip (the only set I've ever seen...Z06 wheels) they were custom made from two sets and the builder isn't interested in doing them again ♠

I looked into this about a year ago and couldn't find anyone that would add to the outboard portion of the wheel (needing fender flares). They would just add to the barrel, causing the extra width to be inboard (mini-tubs).

I didn't want to tub, so I decided to wait until I could afford to get custom wheels along with the flares.

Good Luck...

see my sig. I am very happy with them. .75" wider fenders 2" lip on the outside of the wheels.no wheel spacers needed, and I run the brake ducts. I love the look.
