I don't run EMTs (run-flats) so I carry plugs, compact air compressor, gloves, etc. I also carry a scissors jack for when the hole is not easily accessible. I've been using my DD Nissan Altima jack when going on long trips in my C5 so I wonder if the C4 jack would work just as well. I don't remember what my C4 jack looked like: scissor or bottle but I'm pretty sure would be more compact than my Nissan jack. Anyone have a C4 jack for sale?

I believe the C4 jack was the scissors type, but it has been a long time since I owned a C4 to be certain. Might want to post this in the C4 section and see if someone gives you the answer.
The C4 jack is a scissor jack. I have one tucked away somewhere.
Here is a picture of the C4 scissor jack:
yup, that's the right one from a C4. boy that brings back memories, lol! i had to use it on more than one occasion on my 93 when i tangled with some unmarked "road repair" that left a creator the size of texas in the roadway. absolutely destroyed the rear passenger wheel. pretty interesting experience however i had it replaced by the dealership and when i went to replace the tires sometime latter, the shop called me and told me they wouldn't touch the car as the wheels weren't the correct "size". as it turned out, it seems that the dealership during a regular maintenance stop rotated the tires (a no-no of course as they are different sizes, lol) and when they replaced the damaged rim, they replaced what was actually a front sized rim (incorrectly no placed on the rear) with the correct rear rim. that left me with 3 rear correct rims and one front correct rims on the car. when i went back to the only dealership that had ever worked on the car (they didn't sell tires hence the trip to an outside vendor), they tried to give me a hard time about me obviously screwing the car up. i demanded they pull the service records since they were the only ones to work on it, and they found that the tires had been "rotated" in error at one of the service trips, and backed down really fast and ordered correct rims to fix the problem.
I bought a Harbor Frieght electric screw jack, scissor type. I tried it once and it worked just fine although I was not in a "need to use it" situation at the time. Plugs into the lighter socket or battery clips direct to the battery.
